Art Fair: Fresh Paint 3
I haven’t written in a while about art projects in Israel. I guess I’ve spent too much time in the virtual world or at work instead of visiting arty things in the real life.
Luckily, the gallery where I work was just two minutes from Fresh Paint (צבע טרי), the art fair that took place last week at the Jaffa Port.
I think that giving a stage to independent artists and showing their art next to the work of established artists is a great initiative. I loved the location, at Hangar 1 at the Jaffa Port. Sometimes it felt a bit too much though, too many people, too much art, too much noise. But c’est la vie!
Regarding the Jaffa Port… I’ve been sitting there since the month of September almost everyday and I must say I find it so intriguing to really see how this location is changing so quickly (to witness both the positive and negative effects of this change). Unfortunately I’m afraid it will become just like the Tel Aviv Port, but I stay optimistic especially if at the end they will leave some space for arty projects like this one.
That’s it for now, you can have a look at a selction of pics from the fair!
PS: Talking about freshness… I am oh so enjoying this time of year, I didn’t remember there was a spring in Israel but this year I’m positively surprised… I know it won’t last very long though!
Anywhoo have a nice day
