Noa Ginzburg: Cell

Noa Ginzburg uses the red and white marking tape as a raw material for her work. The tape relates to notions such as: Territory, Aggression and demarcation.
Ginzburg produces in a laboring craft three-dimensional knit that resembles an organism, Cocoon or slough in its materiality. The purpose of the marking alters and becomes an intimate arena that points at transformation and rebirth. The material is dispatched from its original function as a delimiter that defines mobility within the public sphere.
Ginzburg creates another linkage to the DNA spirals and thus generates an organism that is contained with urban genetics.
The knitting transforms the tape into a living body or a biological souvenir of a life that took or will take place.
The motif of the Cell in her works echoes Ginzburg’s academic background at the faculty of life science and is manifested in the work title CELL, which implies both on a prison and biological cell.
The contradiction between the urban synthetics and the soft organic physics made by the knitting, is displayed in a playful matter.
The small scale space enables an examination of a smaller physical installation than Ginzburg’s former large dimensions works. Viewing through a display window enables an observation at the installation as one examines a cell under a microscope.

Noa Ginzburg was born on 1980 She graduated Shenkar College of Engineering, Design and Art in 2012. She holds a BSC of Medical and Life Science from the Tel Aviv University.
Participated in numerous group exhibitions, such as “Working Class” at the 2012 opening art season event in Tel Aviv “Love art, make art”, “Kirya” a group exhibition in “Kiryat Ha’Melacha” an area of many artisits studios that showcased the their work.

נעה גינזבורג משתמשת בסרט הסימון בצבעי אדום- לבן כחומר גלם עבור עבודתה.
הסרט מתקשר למושגים כמו טריטוריה, כוחניות, גידור ותיחום.
גינזבורג מייצרת במלאכת יד עמלנית סריג תלת מימדי שחומריותו מזכירה אורגניזם, קוקון או נשל. מטרת הסימון משתנה והופכת לזירה אינטימית המצביעה על טרנספורמציה ולידה מחודשת. החומר מתנתק מתפקודו המקורי כתוחם שטח ומגדירה תניידות במרחב הציבורי.
גינזבורג מייצרת קישור נוסף לסלילי ה-DNA ובכך יוצרת אורגניזם שטומן בחובו את הגנטיקה האורבנית. מלאכת הסריגה הופכת את הסרט לספק גוף חי, ספק מזכרת ביולוגית לחיים שהיו/יתהוו.
מוטיב התא בעבודתה מאזכר את הרקע האקדמי של גינזבורג בפקולטה למדעי החיים ובא לידי ביטוי גם בשם העבודה CELL, המרמז על תא מאסר ועל תא ביולוגי.
ניכר בעבודתה משחק בין הסינטטיות העירונית לבין הפיזיות האורגנית והרכה שנוצרה מסריגת הסרט.
החלל ומימדיו הקטנים מאפשרים בחינת דימוי גופני קטן יותר משהופיע עד כה בעבודותיה גדולות המימדים של גינזבורג. זאת, בשילוב הצפייה מבעד לזכוכית החלון מאפשר מבט בחומר כמעין בחינת תא במיקרוסקופ .

נעה גינזבורג, ילידת 1980. בוגרת המחלקה לאמנות בשנקר 2012. כמו כן בעלת תואר משולב BSC של הפקולטה לרפואה והפקולטה למדעי החיים באוניברסיטת תל אביב.
השתתפה במספר תערוכות קבוצתיות בינהן: מעמד הפועלים במסגרת אירועי “אוהבים אמנות, עושים אמנות” 2012, “קריה” תערוכה קבוצתית של אמני הסטודיו השונים בקרית המלאכה ועוד
