Art Fair: Paris Photo, LA
Venue: Paramount Pictures Studios
Dates: Until April 28th, 6 pm
A wonderful, sunny weather welcomed the massive crowds who visited the Paris Photo fair, held for the first time outside of France, at the city of Angeles. More than 70 international galleries and publishers from 14 countries took part in the fair, that was well organized at the legendary Paramount studios.
Many vintage imagery of Old Hollywood glamour and fashion were on view, as well as the city’s urban landscapes, pools and palm trees, as a tribute to the new venue, and in hope of finding sentimental local owners.
An Israeli presence dominated two galleries’ installations: The local Angeles Gallery dedicated its entire room for a solo exhibit of Ori Gersht’s works, and New Yorker Andrea Meislin had shown works by Ilit Azoulai, Michal Chelbin, Tal Shochat and Barry Frydlender.
